		<description>While the 'nightmare scenario' is certainly disturbing, believe me it is not news to those committed to jihad. As for increasing security at malls and other places of congregation: it&#39;s probably a good idea, even if only another measure of deterrence.  Let&#39;s not forget that the security personnel themselves can become the targets of attack, as seen in Pakistan.</description>

When I lived in Manila, all malls had security guards who searched all incoming packages and ran the entering shoppers through metal detectors.  It wasn&#39;t that big a hassle after one got used to it.  If the threat that you outline reallys seems to be imminent, major malls could consider improving their security.  Shoppers may object at first, but if such an attack does happen, they will come to appreciate it.</description>
